Formerly located on Lamma Island since 1998, Cococabana has been enjoying it’s new location at Deep water Bay for over 3 years now, and what a location it is. The first thing that strikes you is the spectacular view's of the bay – including people enjoying the sunshine, the Ocean Park cable cars and numerous different water sports being enjoyed. The seating area is located on the Upper Ground Deck. It is tastefully decorated and there is a light breeze from the sea. Mediterranean/Jazz/Reggae fusion is playing, keeping in the overall theme of the restaurant.

Cococabana is the most ecstatic beach location to go in this part of Asia. Here in Hong Kong, 10 minutes from Causeway Bay or Central. The atmosphere Exotique Mediterranean. Homely lighting at night adds to the comfort feeling with music compilations by Gauci and Chester. Cococabana has resort style décor and mouth watering Mediteranean cuisine. Service by Thierry from Nice (Côte d’ Azur) and could not be more casual or more special. You won’t want to stop eating and you won’t want to leave, so dinner for the “bon vivant” a delicious 3 course menu $390. The great atmosphere will take you into the wee hours especially so on weekends should you wish. Enjoy it with the sound of the waves at the beach.

As a frequent user of menu log and Cococabana I am surprised that you can accept such a vindictive review on a restaurant that has at least 5 Vegetarian options on the menu, the food is delicious, definitely not 1 out of 10. Ambience is fabulous not 1 out of 10, the service is not the Ritz but friendly and capable but no way 1 out 10 Value for money where else can you enjoy such a view, ambience and great Mediterranean food with the French touch. It may be a good idea to review the reviewer in this case, as that review I would have my doubts. Plus the owner speaks very good English. We were at Cococabana at the weekend and it was as good as always , we will be back soon . (Coco Review - See my reviews (2) - August, 2008)

Cant believe that Coco is only ten min plus from central ,the atmosphere and food take you to a new dimention in hk dining .just great going back again next week .Its the Cote d'Azur . Jim (jim parks - See my reviews (3) - August, 2008)

Food and the view from the restaurant is excellent. It make you feel that you are in Marseille, South of France. Enjoy every minute. (Great Food & location - August, 2008)

We visited this restaurant last night. When we asked for a Vegetarian option the owner came to the table and would only speak to us in French. The quality of food was only fair value considering the price and the inability to deal with Vegetarian food was disappointing. We were very put off when the bread that was brought to the table was over cooked & dry and it took 15 minutes to bring drinks to the table after they were ordered. For that type of money I expect more! (See my reviews (4) - August, 2008)
