For US$100 per head, the waiters were not attentive and it would take over 30 minutes each time for them to take your orders after giving you menus for the main course as well as the dessert. The fish was not fresh, it took 45 minutes to get bread, no cheese for the pasta and no peper for the salad. All-in-all, so so food and very bad service. It was a Weds, so there was room, but it could have been a problem.Overall, the food was above average with some reservations, but there was nothing that was inedible. One of our party liked the option of a smaller portion of pasta and elected to have that as a main - despite having a small appetite, even she was not expecting only 3 pieces! Conversely, excessive amounts of spinach as an accompment to the main paled into the bland after a while.Good, reasonably priced wine list.The surroundings are definately helped by the tables being spaced further than is ususal in HK, and the bar and cinematic images add an eclectic touch without being too pretentious.Value for money; about what you would expect, but slightly above for the extra space and the smiles. Service from both our waiter and waitress was efficient and friendly without being cloying - a good (and rare) balance! (May, 2007) |
