Great Peking Duck! (May, 2008)
|
"Blazoned in red and gold, this Beijing-style Chinese restaurant has been a Hong Kong institution for more than 40 years, so it must be doing something right. The name was designed to attract American GIs during the Vietnam War, and the Chinese cuisine may be more familiar to international visitors than locals, since Cantonese cuisine is the norm in Hong Kong while Beijing-style is much less common."
N/A, Fodor's - March 2007 |
“It’s an institution and the mainly Beijing dishes are rooted in the capital’s rich culinary heritage, from the sinfully delicious Peking duck to the moreish minced pigeon in lettuce leaves.”
Lesley McCave, Time Out Guides Hong Kong - December 2005 |
"Despite its name, the American Restaurant serves hearty Pekingese food... Peking duck remains the most popular and should be shared by two or more people. Otherwise, the staff is happy to make recommendations."
